General Telugu (Second Language)

For students in B.A., B. Com., and B.Sc. programs, the primary goal is to enhance linguistic competence and cultural awareness.

Linguistic Proficiency: Students gain the ability to read, write, and speak Telugu with grammatical precision, focusing on standard dialect and formal expression.

Literary Appreciation: Understanding the evolution of Telugu literature from the early period   to modern era.

Moral & Ethical Values: Through the study of "Sathaka" poetry and classical stories, students internalize social ethics and human values.

Functional Skills: Developing practical skills in letter writing, translation, and drafting official documents (Paalana Bhasha).

Grammar & Prosody: Mastering classical grammar (Bala Vyakaranam) and traditional meters (Chandassu), such as Seesa Padhyam and Utpalamala.

Dialectology: Recognizing the linguistic nuances of regional dialects (e.g., Telangana, Rayalaseema, and Coastal Andhra).
